Description:
DTRTV hosts a monthly festival to give minority creatives (Black and Brown) an opportunity to showcase their talent where we would otherwise be overlooked. We accept global submissions quarterly and display your work on our channel and app for the world to preview and celebrate your work.
Our festival affords filmmakers the chance to garner airtime on our Roku, Fire TV Stick and Apple TV platforms, our mobile apps at the Apple Store and on Google Play, a customized laurel, a trailer spotlight during one of our quarterly theatrical releases as well as an en exclusive interview and film review. The grand prize winner will be showcased at our exclusive end-of-year event.
Winners will be selected from each category.
Our goal is to showcase a multitude of genres; including narrative features, narrative shorts, documentaries (features and shorts), web series, limited series, original music videos (no covers) original music videos (no covers) and trailers of a variety of genres.

Eligibility Criteria:
Contestant must be a racial minority based on US criteria (Of Black and Brown decent)
Entrant must be 18 or older
Competition is global
Submissions must be in English or contain English subtitles
Each submission must contain the following:

The signatory/authorized representative of the named body of work (hereafter called the “Project”) submitted for consideration for the 2025 DTRTV Film Festival (hereafter called the “Festival”) hereby acknowledges the following:
All submissions and selected entries will be handled with the utmost care; however, DTRTVFF will not accept responsibility for losses, damages, or additional charges incurred during shipping due to file or authoring errors, normal wear and tear, or due to equipment failure.
DTRTVFF is not responsible for any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (included but not limited to attorney’s fees and court costs) arising from or in connection with any claim of infringement (including those of third parties) involving music clearances, copyright, trademark, credits, and/or publicity submitted to or showcased on our websites, Roku, Fire TV Stick, or Apple TV platforms, as well as our Google Play and Apple Store apps.
Reproduction Agreement:
Submission grants DTRTV and its affiliates permission for accepted materials and related marketing and promotional materials to be reproduced and distributed SOLELY for purposes of jurying, education and promotion of the festival (3 minute maximum).
All filmmakers and/or artists who submit to DTRTVFF will be added to the festival’s general and institute email lists. If you do not wish to be included on our mailing list, please request removal at DTRTelevision@gmail.com to unsubscribe.
Submission fees are non-refundable. A submission may not be withdrawn without rendering a written request to the festival, which will then be granted or denied at the sole discretion of DTRTVFF. DTRTVFF has the right to remove your submission without refund at our discretion.
